Agartala, June 21: Sensation prevailed in the Ranjit Nagar area of the capital after the body of a youth was recovered on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Shuvojit Pal, alias Indra, a resident of Chandainamura. According to reports, local residents spotted the body lying in the area and informed the police.

Upon receiving the information, personnel from the Ramnagar Outpost and West Agartala Police Station rushed to the spot. The body was recovered and sent for post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death.

Police officials said that the circumstances leading to the death remain unclear. Investigators are examining all possible angles, including accidental death, illness, or any other cause.

According to police sources, a detailed investigation has been initiated, and the actual cause of death will be confirmed only after the post-mortem report is received.
