The government has refuted a voicemail that claimed that the Reserve Bank of India is sending a message to people telling them that their accounts will be blocked.

The PIB fact check said that the viral voicemail claims that the account will be blocked due to the involvement of a person’s credit card in fraudulent activity.

The unit informed that the claim is false and a scam.

The Government has urged citizens to be aware of such false claims and verify them before trusting them.
