High Court Directs Salary Suspension for Top ADC Officials; Opposition Leader Jitendra Chaudhury Slams TIPRA Motha

Correspondent, Agartala: Leader of the Opposition Jitendra Chaudhury on Sunday strongly reacted to the High Court’s order directing the suspension of salaries of senior officers of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC). He described the court’s intervention as a rare and unprecedented event in the history of Indian administration.

Jitendra Chaudhury asserted that such a harsh judicial step against high-ranking administrative officials has virtually no precedent in Indian governance, calling it a direct reflection of utter administrative failure.

While acknowledging the accountability of ADC officials, Chaudhury emphasized that the administrative officers are not solely to blame.

He held the ruling political party, TIPRA Motha, primarily responsible for the mismanagement and crisis that led to the High Court’s strict directive.

The opposition leader demanded accountability from the leadership, stating that the current breakdown in governance highlighted systemic flaws that require urgent corrective measures.
