132 KV Power Substation inaugurated by Power Minister

Amarpur, June 19, 2025:
Power Minister Ratanlal Nath today inaugurated a state-of-the-art power substation with a capacity of 132 KV at Thakchhara Panchayat in Amarpur subdivision. The new substation, built with the joint collaboration of the Government of India and the World Bank, is expected to significantly improve the power supply to several areas under the Amarpur region.

Speaking at the inaugural event, Power Minister Nath stated that the commissioning of this substation would benefit residents of Amarpur Dalak, Chelagang, Rangamati, Malvasa, Thalchhara, Devbati, Anaraibari, Kasko, Khamariabari, and surrounding localities. He emphasized the importance of timely addressing power-related grievances and urged officials of the power department to listen to consumer complaints patiently and resolve them without delay.

Among others present at the ceremony were MLA Ranjit Das, Chairperson of Amarpur Nagar Panchayat Bikash Saha, Chairman of Amarpur BAC Ravitra Jamatia, Chairman of Panchayat Samiti Suchitra Das, and General Manager of Vidyut Nigam Ranjan Debbarma.

It is noteworthy that a total of ₹59.33 crore was invested in the construction of this modern substation, which is expected to enhance the reliability and stability of the power supply infrastructure in the region.
