The draft voter list of 60 assembly constituencies in Tripura was released by the Election Commission of India on Wednesday with the base year on January 1, 2023.

The total number of voters in the published draft voter list is 27,33,891.

Chief Election Officer Kiran Gitte gave this news in a press conference on Wednesday at the Secretariat.

He said copies of the draft voter list will be available at 3,328 polling stations, all tehsil offices, Electoral Registration Officer (Sub-divisional Magistrate’s office) office and District Election Officer (DM) office.

Moreover, the copy of the draft voter list is available on the website of the Chief Electoral Officer, Tripura, http://www.ceotripura.nic.in.

Gitte said that the period for filing claims and objections on the draft voter list is from November 9, 2022 to December 8, 2022.
The deadline for disposal of claims and objections is up to 26th December, 2022.
He added that the final voter list will be published on January 5, 2023.
He also said that a special campaign on the draft voter list will be conducted on November 19 and 20, 2022, and December 3 and 4, 2022.
