Three new laws have been introduced in the state as well as across the country from today. Awareness programs are being organized to inform the people and all concerned related to the law about the various sections of the new three laws.

Over 4,000 people in related fields have already been trained to implement these new laws in the state as well.

Today in a press conference in the conference hall of the District Magistrate of West Tripura District, the District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar said. District Magistrate and West Tripura District Superintendent of Police Dr. Kiran Kumar highlighted the various aspects of the three new laws introduced in the country from today in a joint press conference.

Note that the three new laws are the Indian Justice Code, 2023, the Indian Civil Protection Code, 2023, and the Indian Evidence Act, 2023.

District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police said in a press conference that most of the old laws were 120 to 160 years old. These three new laws have been enacted to speed up the judicial process.

These laws have been brought in after nearly 4 years of various negotiations to modernize the judicial system, speed up the trial process and ensure safety. So that besides quick settlement of cases, proper justice can be provided to the citizens through fair trial.
