The 72nd plenary meeting of the North Eastern Council (NEC) started today at Pragya Bhavan in Agartala.

Union Home Minister and NEC Chairman Amit Shah graced the occasion as the Chairman. He was accompanied by the Minister of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Jyotiraditya Scindia.

Chief Ministers, Governors, and senior officials from the eight northeastern states participated in this meeting.

Discussions were going on regarding developmental projects and strategies for the region’s growth.
