Agartala, 21 th December 2024: The 72nd Plenary of the North Eastern Council (NEC) Secretariat begins in Agartala, Tripura.

 The plenary session on 21st December at Pragna Bhaban presided over by Shri Amit Shah, Union Home Minister and Chairman of the NEC. Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Minister of DoNER and Vice Chairman of the NEC, along with Dr. Sukanta Majumdar, Minister of State for DoNER, will also attend. Governors and Chief Ministers from all North Eastern States will be present, along with two NEC members.

 On 20th December, the Pre-Plenary technical session held at Hotel Polo Tower, chaired by Dr. Sukanta Majumdar, with participation from Secretaries of various Union Ministries, Chief Secretaries of North Eastern States, and senior officers from the Planning Departments.
