A meeting chaired by MLA Sambhu Lal Chakma was held today at the conference hall of Longtharai Valley SDM office in Chailengts. The meeting was held regarding the month-long celebration of “75 Seemanta Gram Kranti Viro Ke Naam The MIA called upon all officials for motivating and pursuing huge number of participants from the village in this celebration for successfully conducting the programme in a befitting manner.

Longtharai Valley SDM Subhash Datta discussed about the main objective of celebrating the programme A Sub-Divisional Level Organising Committee was formed with MLA Sambhu Lal Chakma as the Chairman of the Committee and Longthara Valley SDM as the Convener, Chawmanu BDO as Joint-Convener and all other department officials and village level staffs and social workers, NGOs as members for overall supervision and monitoring of the month-long celebration.

An official of Youth Affairs & Sports department, Chailengta informed that sports events such as Kabaddi, football, frog jump, tug of war and other traditional games will be locally organized. An official of Information & Cultural Affairs department, Chailengta discussed upon guidelines for organizing 7-days Cultural Workshop based on patriotism in 4 categories- dance, song, drama and painting.

Besides, the panel of Sub-Division Level Organising Committee has decided to organize special administrative and health camps, different sports events and cultural activities involving villagers, children and students of Indo-Bangla border areas.

Chawmanu BDO Kamal Debbarma, DCM of SDM office Simul Das, Diptum Debbarma, Chawman Additional BDO Bikash Choudhari, officials of various line departments, village level committee and social workers of Chawmanu zone were present in the meeting.
