Agartala, Dec. 1: Nine youths were arrested on Saturday night for allegedly creating a disorderly situation in Agartala city under the influence of alcohol. On Sunday, they were produced before the court where the police sought their remand on various charges.

According to the police, the accused youths reportedly vandalized government property during the incident.

The police claimed to have recovered all the damaged items. The operation was conducted by officers of the NCC Police Station.

NCC Police Station Officer-in-Charge Prajit Malakar briefed the media regarding the arrests and said further investigation is underway.
