Gandachhara, May 13: Ahead of the upcoming village committee elections, Tipra Motha has intensified its efforts to strengthen the party organization in Gandachhara subdivision.

In a joining programme held at Tuichakma ADC Village on Tuesday, a total of 91 voters from 36 families joined Tipra Motha after leaving the BJP and CPI(M). The programme witnessed the participation of local party leaders and supporters.

The newly elected MDC of the 24 Raima Valley constituency, , attended the meeting as the chief guest. Addressing the gathering, he called upon the people to work unitedly for the development of the indigenous community and to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.

Party leaders claimed that the joining of several families into Tipra Motha reflects the growing support for the party in the subdivision ahead of the elections.
