Agartala, July 15: The All India M S S on Wednesday staged a protest demonstration near Battala in Agartala, demanding that the police administration take suo motu action in all cases of crimes against women and ensure the safety, security and dignity of women, children and adolescents.
Addressing the gathering, leaders of the organisation expressed concern over the increasing incidents of violence and crimes against women, alleging that such cases are rising at an alarming rate. They urged the authorities to treat every complaint with seriousness and conduct prompt, impartial investigations to ensure strict punishment for the guilty.
The protesters also demanded that the government ensure a safe environment for women at workplaces, educational institutions and public places, stressing that women’s security should be treated as a priority.
State Secretary of the organisation, Shefali Debnath, along with other leaders and members, participated in the protest programme.


Following the demonstration, the organisation appealed to the government to take immediate steps to implement their demands and strengthen measures for the protection of women across the state.
