Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Ratanlal Nath said this while inaugurating a mega credit camp at Mohanpur Panchayat Samiti Hall on Wednesday.
This mega credit camp was organized by Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission and Mohanpur Block Mission Management Unit.
Inaugurating the credit camp, the agriculture minister also said, “The government has given priority to improving the socio-economic standards of people in rural areas. For this reason, people in rural areas are being made self-reliant through self-help groups.”
He added, “The community investment fund of self-help group has been increased from 1 lakh to 1 lakh 50 thousand rupees. The government is providing support to Self-Help Groups in various ways so that members associated with Self-Help Groups can become self-reliant.”
Chairman of Mohanpur Panchayat Samiti Rina Debbarma, Vice Chairman Rakesh Deb and others were present on the occasion.
Mohanpur Block BDO Narayan Chandra Majumder gave the welcome speech.
2 crore 12 lakh rupees have been given to 103 self-help groups of Block in Mega Credit Camp.
During the event, the guests handed over checks to the self-help groups.
