In a press conference on Sunday, BJP Tripura Pradesh Chief Spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty accused TIPRA Motha of the attack on MP Samir Oraon.

He said that Communal TIPRA Motha trying to destroy the peace in Tripura ahead of the Assembly Election.

Subrata Chakraborty also said that Motha is trying to produce a terror-like situation in the hill.

He said that BJP strictly condemns the attack on Samir Oraon, MP and National President of ST Morcha as well as demands the government to immediately arrest the accused according to the FIR.

He added that BJP wants the explanation of so called ‘Greater Tipraland’ from the TIPRA Motha Chairman Pradyot Kishore Debbarman.

Notably, BJP’s ST Morcha president and MP Samir Oraon was attacked by unidentified miscreants on Saturday night on the outskirts of Agartala.

Although he was not injured by the pelted stones at his vehicle, another BJP leader present in his convoy was injured.

According to sources, the security guards fired two rounds in the air to disperse the crowd and rescue Samir Oraon from the spot.

After the incident, Tripura Pradesh BJP directly raised finger on the TIPRA Motha for this incident.

It is to be noted that the political temperature of the state has started getting high in Tripura due to upcoming assembly elections in March 2023.
