The chairman North East Democratic Alliance of BJP and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma declared that BJP will form the next government on its own strength in Tripura in the upcoming assembly election based on the development during the past five years.
Sarma said that the saffron party has decided to fight the election alone for the development and unity of the state to ensure the people’s rights.
Sarma accompanied Chief Minister Manik Saha as well as BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee while they filed their nominations from Town Bardowali and Banamalipur constituency respectively on Monday, the last day to file nominations.
Besides, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh also accompanied them.
Sarma said that the BJP has only one card for this poll, which is development. There are no cards like extortion or donation.
Sarma said that there will be no doubt about the victory of BJP in the Assembly election on the basis of development that Tripura has witnessed.
He added that the party has an alliance with the IPFT, an “old friend” like the last term.
Sarma severely criticised opposition parties and said that the Congress is a big zero in the entire country while the CPIM is nowhere in the world. He said, “If we add two zeros the result will be zero”.
