On 23rd Nov 2024, at about 0130 hrs , 03 BD nationals   were apprehended by BSF troops of BOP Lankamura under West Tripura district while they were trying to infiltrate in Indian territory by negotiating the Border fence . Apprehended Bangladeshi national are residents of Sunamganj and Habiganj district of Bangladesh.

In separate  operations BSF troops apprehended 01 Bangladeshi and 01 Indian national from North Tripura district. A BSF statement stated this here today.

In addition in joint operation with Police BSF troops of BOP Salpokhar under Sepahijela district carried out search operation in Barkhola village and recovered huge quantities of Ganja and liquor from a house . House owner also arrested.        

                                                                        BSF is maintaining a high level of alertness on the international border to prevent infiltration and trans border crime.
