Body of a BSF Assistant Sub-Inspector was recovered from a border post in Sabroom area in south Tripura on Thursday.

BSF authorities said that the circumstances leading to his death would be ascertained after forensic investigations.

The BOP is manned by 66th battalion of the BSF. ASI Singh hailed from Haryana.

He was shifted to Sabroom Hospital, but the doctors declared him dead.

Police arrived at the scene and shifted the body to a hospital for postmortem.
