On specific information, BSF carried out operation and apprehended four Bangladeshi nationals from Dhaniabari while the persons crossed the International borders from the over the side of the border. Of the apprehended, two are female and two male.
BSF Tripura in a statement stated that the troop interrogated the apprehended persons confirming that two male persons are Bangladeshi citizens and two female are Indian national.
The statement said that two apprehended Daduni Chakma and Nandini Chakama are resident of Nutan Bazar, South Tripura while Bimal Chakma and Sushil Chakma are resident of Khagracheri in Bangladesh.
In another operation, carried out by the troop along the area of BOP Dyke VIII, the patrol party observed unusual movement of five persons and apprehended them while contemplating to crossing the International border. Later two of them were identified as Bangladeshi nationals and rest as Indian. BSF said the apprehended persons are identified as Mongkrajai Marma khagrachari, Brisha Moni Chakma who are from Khagracheri in Bangladesh while
Other persons are Punna Lal Chakma, Twoingnu Mog & Skiro Chakma living at Gandachera in Dhalai district of Tripura. BSF has begun further interrogation, the statement said.
BSF is committed to prevent illegal entry into India and to maintain peace along the international border.
