Decision has been taken for recruitment in different departments in the state cabinet meeting today.

Information & Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Choudhury in a press conference at the Secretariat informed about the decisions taken in the cabinet meeting that vacant 20 posts for Principal in general Degree Colleges of the state under Higher Education department will be filled up through TPSC.

He als informed that recruitment of 150 Junior Physical Instructors has been given green signal in the cabinet meeting. It has been decided to create 10 posts for studies in M.ed courses in Teachers Education Institute of the state under Higher Education department. These posts include 6 posts for Assistant Professor, 2 posts for t Associate Professor and 2 posts for professor.

ICA Minister also informed that vacant 4 posts for Principal in different polytechnic institutes of the state under Education department will be filled up. He said, soon a Forensic Laboratory will soon be set up in Ambassa of Dhalai district. Decision has been taken to create 4 technical posts for the Laboratory in the cabinet meeting. Besides this, amendments have been made for Stenographer service in the state today in the cabinet meeting. As a result of this amendment, from now onwards, the examination for Stenographer Service will be conducted for total 100 marks for English and General Studies and shorthand.

Earlier there were no exams taken for English and General Studies. From now onwards, the Stenographer Services examination will contain 30 marks English, 30 marks for General Studies and 10 marks for shorthand
