Poll campaigning is intensified in Tripura, ahead of assembly elections to be held on 16th of February.
BJP National President J.P. Nadda addressed two Vijay Sankalp rallies of BJP at Gomati and Unakoti districts on Friday.
While addressing these rallies, Nadda claimed that Tripura is filled with aspirations under the leadership of former Chief Minister Biplab Deb and incumbent CM Dr. Manik Saha and it became a new Tripura.
He added that the double engine government has changed the fate of Tripura through all round developments across the northeastern state.
Nadda said that Prime Minister Modi has a special concern for Tripura.
Meanwhile, several other renowned central leaders and celebrity campaigners have addressed a series of election rallies across different parts of Tripura to seek votes from electorates and secure the re-establishment of the BJP government for the second term in the state.
Among them, Union Minister Smriti Irani, film-star Mithun Chakraborty, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Opposition leader of West Bengal Suvendu Adhikari are some notable campaigners.
The Left Front which has formed an alliance with the Congress issued its election manifesto with around 85 promises on Friday.
In the manifesto, the left front has promised that it will strengthen the autonomous district councils in Tripura, provide jobs to retrenched 10,323 teachers, etc.
