“Rubber plays an important role in the development of the rural economy of the state. Commercialization of the rubber industry in the state is one of the priority areas of the present government.”
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said this while inaugurating the third unit of Abhisar Buildwell Pvt Ltd Rubber Grade Plant of DS Group at Shilpa Nagar, Bodhjungnagar on Wednesday.
In the event, the Chief Minister said that after the establishment of the BJP-IPFT government in the state, new factories are being built, which is creating employment and income opportunities.
CM added that the current government’s promise was to create employment opportunities for the youth.
By inaugurating the factory, the Chief Minister said that the establishment of such factories creates employment opportunities for the local people and the industrialists are also financially benefited.
Criticising the Left government, he said, “There was no such environment before. In the name of agitation, various factories were closed. Now the situation has changed. As a result, both the workers and the owners are benefiting.”
The Chief Minister said that 21 crore rupees have been spent on setting up this factory.
He said that the rubber threads produced in the factory will mainly be exported to Bangladesh.
Chief Minister asked the industrialists present on the event to set up more factories in the state.
He said, “It is necessary to develop suitable infrastructure for setting up industries. The communication by road, rail and air has improved more than before.”
Incidentally, he also highlighted the Maitri Setu in Sabroom and expressed the hope that it will be possible to build a great Tripura with the combined efforts of all.
