The development of its own language, scriptures and culture is necessary for the survival of any community.

One should never forget his/her own tradition and culture.

The current government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is responsible for protecting the unique culture, language and customs of all ethnic groups in the state.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha said this while inaugurating the 3-day International Conference on Chakma Language, Scriptures and Culture-2022 at Nazrul Kalakshetra on Saturday.

The conference was organized under the initiative of International Chakma Sahitya and Sudom Jada and with the support of Dhuduk Social Organization.

Chief Minister also said that there are 19 ethnic groups in the state and they also have many sub-tribes.

He added that Chakma tribal society is one of them, which has a long history of uniqueness.
They are currently ahead in education and culture.

He added that the central and state governments under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi are also taking a positive role in the development of language and culture of all ethnic groups.
