Agartala, Feb 2: Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Sunday welcomed the Union Budget, stating that it lays down a comprehensive roadmap for the next 25 years, guiding the nation towards the goal of becoming a developed India by 2047.
Reacting to the budget, the Chief Minister said it focuses on key sectors such as manufacturing, world-class infrastructure, healthcare and tourism.
He added that the budget also emphasizes the empowerment of rural centers, adoption of state-of-the-art artificial intelligence, development of modern sports arenas and promotion of holy places of pilgrimage.
Dr. Saha said the budget reflects the aspirations of youth, women and farmers across villages, towns and cities of the country. Expressing optimism, he hoped that the provisions announced in the budget would help turn the dreams of the people into reality and strengthen the vision of a self-reliant India.
