Agartala, March 9, 2026: Consumers in Tripura are set to face an additional financial burden as the prices of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Piped Natural Gas (PNG) have been increased once again.
The revised rates were announced by Tripura Natural Gas Company Limited (TNGCL) through an official notification issued on Sunday.
According to the notification, the new prices will come into effect from March 10, 2026. The company stated that the decision to revise the rates was taken due to the rising cost of gas procurement along with other operational expenses.
The hike is expected to impact both household consumers using PNG as well as transport operators who rely on CNG, potentially increasing daily commuting and household costs.
