Cong, CPI-M contesting Tripura polls together to save their existence: Nadda

BJP National president J P Nadda attacked the Congress and Left Front and said that the alliance is not for the development of Tripura and only meant to save their existence.


While speaking at an election campaign at Amarpur in Gomati district, he said that two separate entities have formed an alliance only to save their existence and not for the development of the state.


He added that the BJP government is working to make the state progress. Nadda further said that Tripura had witnessed political violence, road blockades, militancy, etc. before the BJP came to power, He added that the government changed the situation and ensured peace through an agreement in 2019 with the insurgent group National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT).


Nadda said that law and order have been improved in Tripura in the past five years.
He added that the Agartala-Akhaura railway project will increase businesses and trade of the state.


Nadda further said, “The state is moving forward towards an all-round development due to the BJP government. People of the state have already decided to bring back the BJP to power in the ensuing election for more development of the state”.
