The Congress and Left parties have strongly rejected Chief Minister ’s call for a united opposition front against the BJP.

In a video message, Ms Banerjee appealed to all opposition forces, including the Congress, CPI(M), and ultra-Left groups, to come together against what she described as the “first enemy.”

However, both the Congress and Left parties dismissed the proposal, accusing the Trinamool Congress of pursuing opportunistic politics in the state.
