The Indian National Congress held a nationwide movement protesting against inflation and price rise.
Tripura Congress also held the Raj Bhavan Abhiyan program in Agartala on Friday as a part of the program.
The rally started from the Tripura Pradesh Congress Bhavan located in the post office Chowmuhani.
Various leaders and workers of Congress traveled various roads on their way to the Raj Bhavan. However, there was a physical scuffle with the police.
The activists and supporters of the party present in the rally broke the resistance of the police and moved forward.
MLA Sudip Roy Barman, Tripura Pradesh Congress President Birjit Sinha and others were present in this movement.
Later Congress leaders sat at the floor of the Gandhi statue and held a road meeting.
MLA Sudip Roy Barman said in the meeting that inflation has reached an extreme level in the last 30 years.
Congress leader Ashish Kumar Saha said that increasing the DA by 5 percent is just a joke.
28% DA of employees is still pending as per promise of the government.
Apart from Agartala, the Congress also held this movement in Tripura’s eight districts on this day.
