Night Curfew to be effective from 5pm from January 20 onwards Considering the increase in Covid-19 infection in the state.

The Night Curfew will be effective from 8pm instead of 9pm from January 20 onwards, informed Information & Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury about the cabinet decision of the state government at the Secretariat.

He said, it has been decided in the cabinet meeting to enforce some safety protocols. Religious programmes such as Kirtans will have to be finished by January 23, 2022 Considering the present situation, multiplexes, shopping malls, cinema halls, parks, picnic spots, exhibition fairs etc, shall be kept closed.

It has been decided to keep 50% attendance in government offices in Agartala Municipal areas. In this regard, presence of Joint Secretary or higher officialwill be mandatory, said ICA Minister.
