The CPIM state secretary issued a statement to the people including party workers and supporters to maintain peace across the state.

The statement reads that too much speculation in the interim period between assembly election on February 16 and counting on March 2 caused unnecessary clashes and tension to victimize the opposition party workers and supporters.
It further stated that such things should not happen and everyone should keep patience so that harmony and peace in the state remain undisturbed.
The statement said that the CPIM state secretariat appealed to people across the state to protect peace and harmony to prevent social tension and loss of lives and properties of people regardless of their political affiliations.
The statement specially appealed to the party workers and supporters to refrain from any kind of provocation and instigation.
Further, the statement has directed the party workers and supporters to provide full co-operation to the election commission and the police so that peace and law and order can be maintained in the state.
