Agartala, June 15, 2025:
A public meeting was organized on Sunday at Betaga ADC Village in Sabroom subdivision under the initiative of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)]. The event witnessed significant participation from local tribal residents.
South District GMP Secretary and former MLA Prabhat Chowdhury addressed the gathering, sharply criticizing the alleged failures and anti-people policies of the BJP-led government in the state.
CPI(M) Politburo member and State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury also spoke at the meeting. In his address, he highlighted issues such as the service crisis, growing unemployment, and spiraling prices affecting tribal areas during the tenure of the present government.
The party leaders called upon the public to strengthen mass organizations and intensify the democratic movement to protect the rights and welfare of the people, especially in the tribal-dominated regions.
