Agartala: Passengers at Agartala MBB Airport are experiencing significant difficulties following the cancellation of numerous flights in the wake of the ongoing Indigo crisis. According to Airport Director Krishan Mohan Nehra, a total of 39 flights have been cancelled from Agartala alone since the crisis began on November 27.
Nehra informed that as the situation worsened unexpectedly, the airport authorities took immediate steps to strengthen seating arrangements and improve hygiene facilities to ensure passenger comfort. Additionally, food vendors inside the airport were issued strict instructions not to overcharge under any circumstances.
He further clarified that there is no shortage of infrastructure, and the airport is fully prepared to accommodate new flights whenever airlines resume operations. The refund process for cancelled flights has also started from today.
At present, three Air India, one Akasa, and eleven Indigo flights are operating from Agartala airport.
