Agartala, December 11, 2025: The month-long Unity Promo Fest 2025, organized across various districts of Tripura, has received an overwhelming response from the public. The grand closing ceremony is scheduled to be held on December 12 at Swami Vivekananda Maidan.

At a press conference held today at Gitanjali Guest House, Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury shared details about the concluding event. He announced that Sourav Ganguly, the brand ambassador of Tripura Tourism, will be present at the closing ceremony. Along with renowned artists from Tripura, celebrated Bollywood playback singer Jubin Nautiyal will also perform on the final day.

Explaining the significance of renaming the event Unity Promo Fest, the Minister said that the objective is to strengthen the bond of brotherhood among people of different communities and tribes in the state. He added that the festival has successfully showcased the culture, attire, cuisine, and traditions of various indigenous communities, helping it emerge as a cultural brand for Tripura.

The minister further stated that the festival has created enthusiasm within the state and neighbouring regions, while playing a crucial role in elevating Tripura on the global tourism map.

For the closing ceremony, three types of passes—VVIP, VIP, and General—have been arranged. General category passes will be distributed until 5 PM today at the main office of the Tourism Department .

Highlighting the growing national and international interest, the minister informed that 122 tour operators from 27 states will arrive tomorrow to attend the festival, compared to 78 tour operators last year. Additionally, tour operators from Thailand, Bhutan, Myanmar, and Malaysia are also expected to reach the state tomorrow.

Expressing optimism, the Tourism Minister said that their participation will help introduce Tripura’s tourism potential to wider audiences and attract more foreign tourists in the coming days.
