Food Minister attends in review meeting of Food, Civil supplies & Consumers affairs department

The government is committed to strengthen the public distribution system in the state. The state government is committed to deliver the benefits of public distribution system from the district headquarters to the people in remote areas.

Food Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said this at a review meeting of the Department of Food, Public Procurement and Consumer Affairs today.

In the review meeting, Food Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said that this department is a very important department. The department has to ensure that the consumers of the state do not face any problem in the public distribution system.

He said that the government is also thinking of supplying mustard oil through ration shops. The government wants to deliver good governance to every home.

Therefore, it should be ensured that there is no weakness in the public distribution system. In the review meeting, the food minister said that a seminar will be organized at the state level in the coming days on the overall development of the public distribution system.
