The Tripura government has announced a revised office schedule for all government departments, with offices to remain closed on every Saturday and Sunday from now onwards. On working days, office timings will be from 9:30 am to 6 pm instead of the earlier 10 am to 5:30 pm schedule.
The government has also withdrawn the recently introduced roster system for Group C and Group D employees with immediate effect. As a result, all government employees will now have to attend office regularly on all working days.
Tourism Minister informed about the cabinet decisions during a press conference held at the Secretariat on Tuesday.
The minister further stated that the cabinet has approved recruitment for a total of 81 vacant posts across three departments. Out of these, 50 posts will be filled in the Information and Cultural Affairs Department. The recruitment includes 13 Reporters, 24 Lower Division Clerks (LDC), 7 Cultural Assistants, 2 Folk Artists, and one post each for Script Writer, Translator, Assistant Photographer and Assistant Librarian.
In addition, 26 LGC posts will be filled under the Public Works Department. Of these, 23 posts will be recruited through JRBT, while the remaining three posts will be reserved for ex-servicemen.
Besides this, the cabinet has also approved recruitment of five Small Savings Inspectors under the Finance Department through TPSC.
