Govt to spend Rs. 80 cr for Sabroom town: CM

A plan of around 80 crore has been taken for the development of Sabroom town.

The people of Sabroom are also benefiting from the developmental activities being carried out across the state.

This was stated by Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb while inaugurating the newly constructed building and oxygen plant of Sabroom Sub-Divisional Hospital with 100 beds today.

The Sabroom Sub-Divisional Hospital has been constructed at an expenditure of around Rs. 13 crore, officials said.

This subdivision hospital has been built at a cost of about 13 crore.

Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar, MLA Sankar Roy, and others were also present at the programme.

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Sunday said that the state government would spend around Rs. 80 crore. under Asian Development Bank-funded project for the development of Sabroom.

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb said the people of Sabroom were deprived of development for a long time. But the present state government is working for the overall development of this southernmost part of the state.

A plan of around 80 crore has been taken for the modernization and overall development of Sabroom town.

Work is underway to improve the socio-economic condition of the people of Sabroom as well as overall development.
