Congress Leader Baptu Chakraborty tenders resignation; likely to join TMC

The General Secretary of Tripura Pradesh Congress Baptu Chakraborty has tendered his resignation citing current political situation in the state.

In his letter to Tripura Congress President Pijush Kanti Biswas he wrote “I have been serving as dedicated worker of Congress for the last 25 years. I am very much proud of my achievements as a party worker in state and national level as Congress party has given me immense importance and scope to deliver and to show my potentials. I will always be grateful to Hon’ble Rahul Gandhi Ji and Hon’ble Jitendra Singh Ji for their guidance an inspiration. But due to present political situation in my own state i.e. Tripura, I am tendering my resignation from the primary membership of Indian national Congress. I urge you to accept my resignation and kindly oblige me”.
