AGARTALA — In a major security lapse, a 14-wheeler heavy vehicle managed to climb onto the Agartala flyover on Wednesday morning, triggering a heavy traffic jam and sparking serious questions regarding local administration and traffic management.

According to reports, the oversized vehicle easily accessed the flyover due to issues surrounding the height bar and a complete absence of traffic personnel at the entrance gate. Eyewitnesses alleged that no traffic police officers were stationed at the entry point by 8:30 AM.

A traffic constable was only spotted arriving at the scene after the heavy vehicle had already stalled on the structure and caused congestion.

The incident has drawn sharp criticism from citizens, with many questioning how such a massive vehicle bypassed security and surveillance checkpoints. Public pressure is mounting on authorities to investigate the administration’s monitoring lapses and prevent similar security breaches in the future.
