Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya today said that India aims to double its Defence production to 3 lakh crore rupees by 2029.

Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, Dr Mandaviya said that the nation has already shown remarkable growth in defence production and currently stands at 1 lakh 50 thousand crore rupees.

He noted that, similarly, defence exports will double from 25 thousand crore rupees to 50 thousand crore rupees in the next 4 years.

He stressed that this will strengthen India’s role as an important player in the global defence leadership.
