Agartala, August 5: CPIM State Secretary Jitendra Chowdhury has launched a scathing attack on the central ruling BJP and its ideological parent RSS, accusing them of promoting linguistic discrimination in their pursuit of establishing a “Hindu Rashtra.”
Addressing the media, Chowdhury alleged that the BJP-RSS combine does not acknowledge the status of any Indian language other than Hindi. “A planned attack is being carried out on the Bengali language and Bengali-speaking people,” he said.
Citing a recent incident involving the Delhi Police, he claimed it as a clear example of linguistic bias. “Such actions are absolutely condemnable,” he added.
Chowdhury further accused the RSS-BJP of playing divisive politics on the issue of language. “We all have to unite against this conspiracy to impose Hindi across the country,” he urged.
