Joint Force Destroys 2.75 Lakh Ganja Plants in Jatrapur Area

Under the leadership of the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jatrapur police station, joint forces comprising police and BSF personnel conducted a major anti-ganja operation.

During the drive, a total of 2,75,000 fallen ganja plants were destroyed across 45 plots at two separate locations.

The operation was carried out in the Kalikhala ADC village area under Jatrapur police station and in the forest area of Garam Harma. As the operation progressed, people gathered from distant places to witness the drive but did not dare to interfere.


After being uprooted, the ganja plants were set on fire on the spot. Speaking on the issue Jatrapur police station OC Siti Kanth Vardhan said that such anti-narcotics operations will continue in the future as part of efforts to curb illegal cultivation.
