The brutal death of Angel Chakma has triggered widespread outrage across Tripura and the entire Northeast region.
Protesting the incident and demanding justice in the murder case, a silent protest march was organized in Kanchanpur on Sunday evening.
The procession began from the premises of the Kanchanpur Shakyamuni Buddhist Monastery and passed through various streets of the town before concluding at the old motor stand.
More than 300 people took part in the march.
The protest was jointly organized by the Sholoani Parishad, the Tripura Chakma Student Association, and the Buddhist Social Welfare Association. Participants marched in silence to express their grief and to press for a thorough investigation and strict punishment of those responsible for the killing of Angel Chakma.
