Opposition leader Manik Sarkar stood by Congress in the political clash between BJP and Congress in Bishalgarh on Wednesday.
CPIM leader Manik Sarkar criticized the ruling party BJP for Wednesday’s incident from a press conference held at the CPIM state headquarters in Agartala on Thursday.
He also expressed anger about the role of the police in Wednesday’s incident.
Manik Sarkar also demanded that the Chief Minister to open his mouth on the recent issue of women abuse in the state in the press conference.
He complained that “Police rule is going on in the state”.
His statements against the BJP clearly indicate that he supported Congress in the political violence happened in Bishalgarh.
I urged the police to play a positive role. The opposition leader strongly condemned the fire incident at the Congress party office in Rautkhala, he said.
