Agartala: Former Chief Minister of Tripura and former CPI(M) Politburo member Manik Sarkar launched a sharp critique against the ruling BJP government during the party’s ‘Jail Bhoro’ movement, organized to advocate for an 11-point charter of demands centered on the public interest.

Addressing the gathering, Sarkar alleged that the common people are enduring severe economic hardship under the current administration. He emphasized that despite widespread pressing issues affecting the country and the state, the government has shown no effective initiative to address or resolve them.

Instead of focusing on solutions that secure the life and livelihood of the public, Sarkar accused the BJP of actively attempting to divide people along communal lines. He stated that the ruling party aims to advance its political agenda through divisive strategies rather than addressing core economic and social concerns.

Sarkar further criticized the government’s indifference toward the 11-point demands raised by the CPI(M), maintaining that the administration continues to ignore critical issues directly impacting everyday citizens.
