A meeting was held recently at the conference hall of the District Magistrate’s office of West Tripura district to make Mission Indradhanush 5.0 programme a success District Magistrate Debapriya Bardhan, CMO of the district, District Health and Family Welfare Officer, officials from Education, Social Welfare and Social Education Department and doctors in charge of various health centres of the district were present in the meeting.

It was informed in the meeting that Mission Indradhanush 5.0 programme will start in West Tripura district in 3 phases from August 7. The programme will vaccinate all children and pregnant women who are excluded from routine immunization through special surveys. The first phase of vaccination will be conducted from August 7 to August 12, The second phase of vaccination will start from September 11 to September 16.

The third phase of vaccination will be from October 9 to October 14 In the meeting, District Magistrate Debapriya Bardhan said that all health workers involved in this programme should work responsibly. Every unvaccinated child and pregnant woman in the district should be brought up for vaccination. In the meeting, District Health and Family Welfare Officer discussed the details of Mission Indradhanush 5.0 programme through power point presentation.

He informed that task force committee meetings are being held at the block level to make this programme successful in the district. Besides, road meetings and awareness meetings are also being held
