Approximately 30 leaders, including Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, along with other MLAs and ministers from the state, are set to campaign for the BJP in West Bengal for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Rajib Bhattacharjee, the BJP state president, stated that the recent Lok Sabha election in Tripura saw a historic voter turnout, setting a precedent in the country.
He expressed optimism about a massive victory for the BJP in Tripura. Bhattacharjee said, “The organization has entrusted them with the responsibility of conducting a campaign in West Bengal. Thirty Vistaraks, including state leaders, ministers, and MLAs, have been deployed for this purpose. Some have already left, and others will depart soon.”
He noted that the long-standing rule of the CPIM in West Bengal and the current rule of the Trinamool Congress have similarities.
Bhattacharjee said, “They have created a climate of fear among the people. The industrial sector in West Bengal has suffered greatly. They obstruct the implementation of centrally sponsored schemes and do not provide adequate assistance to the people. The public is in distress.”
He added, “Since PM Modi took office, he has been actively working for the welfare of the people by implementing various schemes. We will emphasize these points in West Bengal. We are hopeful of the BJP’s victory. The main issue there is violence.”
