Mosquito Menace Rises in Agartala! AMC Yet to Take any Action

Agartala, February 3: The mosquito population has seen a sharp rise across Tripura, causing distress among residents, while the government remains inactive in addressing the issue.

Citizens from Agartala, Udaipur, and other towns have been complaining about the deteriorating sanitation conditions, which have contributed to the mosquito breeding problem. Stagnant water, poor drainage, and lack of fogging measures have exacerbated the situation.

Despite repeated appeals from the public, there has been no visible action from the authorities. “We are facing sleepless nights and an increased risk of diseases, yet no proper mosquito control measures are being taken by the government,” said a resident from Agartala.

Meanwhile, health experts have urged people to take preventive measures like using mosquito nets, repellents, and keeping their surroundings clean. However, they stress that government intervention is crucial to tackle the crisis effectively.

With rising cases and public frustration growing, all eyes are now on the Tripura government to see when and how it will respond to the worsening mosquito menace.
