NAAC PEER Team Visit at Desaratha Deb Memorial College, Khowai

A three member NAAC Peer Team comprising of Dr. Ramachandra Gowda Muninarayana, Vice Chancellor, Rani Channamma University, Dr. Basant Kumar Das, Dean/Director IQAC, IIMT University Meerut and Dr. Manish Pandya, Principal, Tolani Commerce College visited Dasaratha Deb Memorial College, Khowai on 13th -14th December, 2022 to assess and accredit the college for NAAC Cycle 2 Accreditation.

The visit began on 13th December, 2022 at 10 am with a grand reception by the Principal, Staff and students in traditional dresses forming a human chain. The team visited all the facilities and inspected documents and also met with the Parents, Alumni and students of the college and took their feedback on various issues related to the development of the college. A luncheon meeting was orgaised in the college on 13th December with the NAAC Peer Team and the DM and Collector, Khowai Distric, Tripura, Director, DHE, Government of Tripura, The Chairperson, Tripura State Higher Education Council, Director, IQAC, Tripura University and the Principal of college. A colorful Cultural Programme showcasing the vibrant cultural heritage of Tripura mesmerized the NAAC Peer Team.

During the Exit Meeting on 14th December, 2022 the Chairperson of the NAAC Peer Team has highlighted the importance of assessment and accreditation process of NAAC and emphasized on the role and social responsibilities of the stakeholders. He also appreciated the student centric approach of the college. Dr. B.C. Das, Principal, DDM College, in his welcome address appreciated the feedback and suggestions of the peer team during the 2 days visit. Dr. Abhijit Debbarma, Coordinator, NAAC Committee, DDM College proposed the vote of thanks and has appreciated the efforts of the entire team of the college in making this visit a success.
The results of this visit will be declared by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
