The National Disaster Response Force intensified rescue and relief operations across several parts of Maharashtra as relentless rainfall continues to lash the state, severely disrupting normal life and triggering landslides, waterlogging, and transport disruptions.

Indian Navy said that the Western Naval Command has been placed on high alert amid the continuing heavy rainfall and is fully prepared to assist the state administration whenever requested.
