CPIM’s election rally was held at Shanti Bazar on Thursday in support of the Left Front in the by-election of Surma assembly constituency under Kamalpur sub-division.
The Opposition Leader and former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar was present as the main speaker at the meeting.
Besides, Pankaj Chakraborty, CPIM party secretary of Dhalai district, by-polls candidate Anjan Das and other leaders were also present.
Opposition leader Chief Minister Manik Sarkar said that the daily necessities including petrol, diesel and cooking gas are increasing day by day.
He said that there is no control over pricing of commodities. “What’s going on in the country?”
He further said that rampant corruption is going on in MNREGA work.
The leaders are stealing money without providing work to ordinary people for which they are not getting jobs.
Therefore, he urged people to vote for the Left candidates to make them victorious.
