Bishalgarh (Tripura): More than 15 picnic-goers were injured when two motor vehicles collided in the Chechurimai area while returning home from a picnic on Sunday.

The group was travelling from Khumulung to Sonamura when the accident occurred.
Following the collision, local people and emergency services rushed the injured passengers to Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital. Due to the seriousness of their injuries, doctors later referred them to the GBP Hospital Trauma Centre in Agartala for advanced treatment.

According to the injured passengers, the accident took place due to reckless driving. They alleged that the car driver continued to drive at high speed despite repeated requests to slow down. After the incident, the driver of one of the vehicles reportedly fled the spot. Police have started an investigation into the matter.
